Steps/Methods:

1. Bellows expansion joints cannot bear load and should be hoisted separately. Unless reinforcement measures are taken for bellows expansion joints, they are not allowed to be hoisted together with pipelines after welding.   

2, before installation should first check the bellows expansion joint type, specification and pipe support configuration must comply with the design requirements.   

3. Pay attention to the bellows expansion joint with inner liner so that the direction of inner liner is consistent with the flow direction of medium, and the hinge rotation plane of planar angular bellows expansion joint is consistent with the displacement plane.   

4. For bellows expansion joints that need to be cooled down, the auxiliary components used for their pre-deformation shall be removed after the pipe system is installed.   

5. Except for the pre-deformation amount required by the design for pre-stretching (or compression) or "cold tightening", it is strictly prohibited to adjust the installation deviation of the pipeline by deforming the bellows, so as not to affect the normal function of the bellows expansion joint, reduce the service life and increase the load of piping system and equipment according to the pipe and supporting components.   

6. During installation, welding slag is not allowed to splash onto the surface of bellows expansion joint and cause other mechanical damages to bellows.   

7. Upon completion of pipe system installation, the letter fasteners of auxiliary positioning mechanism for installation and transportation protection on bellows shall be removed immediately, and the limiting device shall be adjusted to the specified position according to design requirements.
